Pedulla's History

Pedulla's Wine & Liquor was founded by "Big Jim" and Florence Pedulla in 1947. The original store began in downtown Geneva, NY before moving up to the Town & Country Plaza in a different storefront, before its final move to its current location. In 1991, Theresa Finnerty (daughter of Jim & Florence) took over ownership with her husband Gary. As a family business, their 4 children: Sean, Maureen, Brian, and Meghan, all played a role in helping their parents maintain the store. As the surrounding area grew, with more and more wineries, distilleries, and brands emerging, Pedulla's also expanded to carry the best selection it could offer to customers.  When Brian Finnerty, 3rd generation family owner took over in 2014, he began a remodel to modernize the store, creating a fresh and charming atmosphere for its customers. That same year, the store doubled in size, with the addition of our prestigious "New York Room." Pedulla's continues to be the prominent hometown supply of wine & spirits for the area. It's also a dominant source of local products, boasting an impressive portfolio of numerous Finger Lakes and New York state wines, ciders, and spirits.  Pedulla's is proud to have recently received the 2018 "Retailer of the Year" by the New York Wine & Grape Foundation, and 2019 "Best Liquor Store in the Finger Lakes" by the Finger Lakes Times' Reader's Choice awards.
